King of Pop Dies

It is sad to say that Michael Jackson died today. But I must say that I feel less remorse over his death than I have other celebrities in the past. Michael Jackson was probably one of the best entertainers ever, but it has been over a decade since he has been known for anything other than his on again off again troubles with the law concerning his molestation of children.

I was devastated in the past when Chris Farley died or Mitch Hedburg, but this just is kind of passive to me. Yes, I am sad he died so young, but I can't say that the world is much worst off because of it. We know we wernt going to get any good tunes out of the deal... no new courtroom dramas, or international escapes for the king. No more giraffs in the backyard. In my view of the world Michael Jackson was gone along time ago. I have already said my goodbyes in a way so this transition is much easier for me.

Drowning

I really have the sense that I am drowning in all that is going on... and I like it. I haven't had this kind of pressure and stress in a long time and although I am almost at my last nerve; I also feel alive and like I'm on the brink of something.

I signed up for Twitter today.... and i quote "I am finally on Twitter.... first tweet."

Like I really need any more distractions. Ha ha... yes I DO!!!

Movie Review: Dazed and Confused. R -Language.

I liked this movie but simply for the fact that there are so many big name stars in there that I missed until the end credits. Yes, it is steeped in historical accuracy, and yes it is great to see that, but I did not live in the 70's and can't really appreciate everything. The movie actually frustraited me because like American Graffiti it really didn't have any point. It is all about the personal choice of one character and that is it... just alot of scenes and lose diologe kind of pasted together to help this one guy make a decission he obviously had already made.

I liked it though, and will give it 4 stars, but that is generous... what saved it was the fact Ben Afleck got punked and all the famous quotes from there.

IM BACK....

So I have finally returned to the blogging community. To catch anyone up here are some reasons I have not been current in my blog.

1.) Old Computer Crashed... I GOT A NEW ONE!!!
2.) Two New Jobs and Summer School have kicked my butt.
3.) Car Wreck.

Basically I really have no excuse, but here we go again.

I have been completely infatuated with the Iran coverage and ongoing struggle there. I wish I could cover something as important one day as is going on there (warning very graphic but important).

For the new photographer I have picked Exquisitely Bored in Nacogdoches. I have lived in Nacogdoches and the surrounding area, but if you would like to get a feel for the area and the buildings in the area check out his photo stream!
